Illustrative example: an invoice app for independent contractors. Your kit is tailored to the app you choose; this is not its generated content.

Feature spec

Goal: Send a clear invoice after finishing a job.

  • Add a client, line items, a due date, and payment instructions.
  • Preview the total before exporting a PDF.
  • Keep an editable draft if export fails.

Screen plan

Invoice editor: Client at the top, editable line items in the middle, total and preview action at the bottom.

States: Empty draft, validation errors beside each field, exporting, and a retry action that preserves the draft.

Differentiate and validate

Hypothesis: Contractors need faster repeat invoices more than more templates.

First experiment: Test duplicating a previous job with five contractors. Watch where they hesitate before expanding the feature set.

The full kit adds a phased build plan, evidence notes, tool prompts, and implementation guidance. It is a plan for your coding agent, not a finished app.

Usage: Mechanics are fair game; never reuse the original name, branding, assets, or verbatim copy.

App Store description

Piano H88 is the only piano you will ever need: a full 88-key grand for iPhone and iPad that plays to how you touch it, with every tool built in — and not an ad in sight. TOUCH THAT MEANS SOMETHING Most phone pianos are on or off. Piano H88 reads the size of the contact patch under each finger — how much of the key you are covering — and turns it into loudness, brightness and how far the key sinks. Flatten a finger for a fuller note; catch a key with a fingertip for a soft one. Prefer it simple? Turn touch dynamics off. WHY "H88" Eighty-eight keys, plus the note H — the sounds between the notes. Whistle or hum in Glide mode and the tone swells and slides with your voice like a theremin, writing the notes you sing onto the sheet. Move a finger slightly on a key and the tone shades with it; let it bend the pitch if you like. Those in-between H notes are where the name came from. A REAL KEYBED All 88 keys, a navigation strip and a hand-driven zoom — a glissando and a scroll are the same gesture. Black keys sit where a real keybed puts them and light up as you press. Labels in letters, fixed-do solfège, or both. 1,696 SCORES TO PLAY AND LEARN Engraved scores — piano, voice, choir, organ, guitar and more — from the Mutopia Project (public domain and Creative Commons). Listen and watch the keys light, play along at your pace, or Learn: the piece waits until your hands find each chord. Finger numbers, hands-separate practice, loops, speed from a quarter-pace to 4×, and a practice diary that keeps your streak. Every piece has its own page with a live, scrubbable score you can edit in place. A WHOLE BAND — MULTI-TRACK MIDI Import an arrangement and it opens piano-first, then bring in any other part on its own instrument and staff. A per-part mixer gives every line volume, pan, mute and solo, so you can silence the melody and play it yourself. LIVE SHEET MUSIC Everything you play is engraved live on a grand staff in a real music font, with note values, rests, bar lines and a time signature. Edit note by note, scrub with the playhead, stack keys into a chord with chord insert, save to My Pieces or clear and start again, and export a multi-system PDF or a Standard MIDI File. RECORD AND SHARE Capture the screen with its audio as a video, or just the sound; record layer over layer into a song. 134 INSTRUMENTS AND EFFECTS Six house sounds plus all 128 General MIDI programs, with reverb and echo. HANDS-FREE VOICE CONTROL Nearly every control has a spoken phrase and the app confirms out loud: "play", "faster", "octave two", "louder", "play D minor", "add C major chord". Playable hands-free and eyes-free. SING, WHISTLE OR HUM TO PLAY (BETA) Turn on microphone mode and the note you sing, whistle or hum plays and lands on the sheet. Snap it to a key so slightly-off singing is in tune; a tuner is built in. Pitch is tracked by an on-device neural model; nothing is recorded. SCAN OR IMPORT A PRINTED SHEET (BETA) Photograph a score page by page, or import a PDF or images. Crop, straighten and reorder, then read the notes onto a playable, editable staff — a notation-software PDF is read exactly, and its own pages ride along as a ribbon. On-device. A NOTEPAD FOR EVERY PIECE Sketch with Apple Pencil or a finger, type text, and stamp staves, clefs, notes and rests as movable, lockable elements on a staff-space grid with rulers and snap. Frame a passage and read it into your sheet, or export as PDF or PNG. NOT SURE WHAT A BUTTON DOES? Tap the ? on any page, then tap anything and it explains itself. The field guide is also online at macdevstudio.com/pianoh88/guide. PLAY TOGETHER Piano Link joins two devices side by side into one long keyboard over the local network. Any USB or Bluetooth MIDI keyboard plays it; it can be a MIDI device for other apps too. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account, no ads, no analytics, no tracking. Everything stays on your device. Mic and camera are used only for features you turn on. One app for iPhone and iPad.

Build scope

Plan a focused first version with your coding agent. These are planning assumptions, not a delivery guarantee.

Define the first version

Choose one audience and one core workflow. Use the kit to agree on its screens, data, and acceptance criteria before building.

Set boundaries

Decide which secondary features, integrations, and platform support can wait. Your version does not need to reproduce everything in the original.

Check the hard parts

Validate external services, specialist technology, data access, and ongoing costs for your chosen scope.

BUILD KIT DIFFICULTY

A reliable timeline needs an agreed scope and a technical check. Ask your agent to estimate the phases in BUILD_PLAN.md after that review.
