Illustrative example: an invoice app for independent contractors. Your kit is tailored to the app you choose; this is not its generated content.

Feature spec

Goal: Send a clear invoice after finishing a job.

  • Add a client, line items, a due date, and payment instructions.
  • Preview the total before exporting a PDF.
  • Keep an editable draft if export fails.

Screen plan

Invoice editor: Client at the top, editable line items in the middle, total and preview action at the bottom.

States: Empty draft, validation errors beside each field, exporting, and a retry action that preserves the draft.

Differentiate and validate

Hypothesis: Contractors need faster repeat invoices more than more templates.

First experiment: Test duplicating a previous job with five contractors. Watch where they hesitate before expanding the feature set.

The full kit adds a phased build plan, evidence notes, tool prompts, and implementation guidance. It is a plan for your coding agent, not a finished app.

Usage: Mechanics are fair game; never reuse the original name, branding, assets, or verbatim copy.

App Store description

Carrier is a binaural beat generator, not a library of preset sessions. Every parameter is continuous. Any beat frequency from 0.5 to 45 Hz, in 0.1 Hz steps. Any carrier tone from 150 to 800 Hz, in 1 Hz steps. Set the pair you want and the app holds that difference exactly, for as long as you run it. CONTINUOUS CONTROL, NOT A MENU Most binaural apps hand you a fixed set of programs. This one hands you the sliders. If you want 6.3 Hz on a 220 Hz carrier because that is what suits you, you can have it — and you can change it while the tone is playing, without a gap or a click. FIVE BANDS, EACH WITH ITS OWN PITCH Delta, Theta, Alpha, Beta and Gamma each land on a sensible beat frequency — and each remembers the carrier tone you last used with it. Find the pitch that suits you for Theta once, and it is waiting there every time you tap Theta. The sliders stay free afterwards. A band is a starting point, never a limit. WHY THE PITCH CHANGES WITH THE BEAT A fast beat needs a higher carrier than a slow one. Push 37 Hz onto a low tone and the two pitches drift far enough apart that you hear an interval instead of a beat. Each band starts somewhere that keeps it comfortable, and then you adjust to taste. IT KEEPS WHAT YOU CHOSE Close the app and come back. Your beat, your pitch, your volume and your per-band pairings are all still where you left them. THE DIFFERENCE IS EXACT The two carriers are generated independently and never mixed, so each ear genuinely receives its own tone. The warmth control adds a second layer per ear, offset in the same direction on both sides, so it colours the sound without shifting the beat frequency by so much as a hundredth of a hertz. RUNS WHILE YOU REST Audio continues with the screen locked. Play and pause from the lock screen. Sessions of 5, 15, 30 or 60 minutes, or run indefinitely. PRIVATE BY CONSTRUCTION No account. No network access at all. No analytics, no ads, no subscription, no tracking. There is no server for your data to go to. HEADPHONES, OR NOT A binaural beat only exists when each ear receives its own tone, so headphones are how you get the real thing. Through a speaker the two tones mix in the air into an audible pulse instead — a different effect, and one some people prefer. Playback stops if your headphones disconnect, unless you turn that off.

AI-GENERATED OPPORTUNITY HYPOTHESES

These are generated suggestions, not verified review quotations. Check current App Store reviews and speak with users before treating a possible gap as a requirement.

Build scope

Plan a focused first version with your coding agent. These are planning assumptions, not a delivery guarantee.

Define the first version

Choose one audience and one core workflow. Use the kit to agree on its screens, data, and acceptance criteria before building.

Set boundaries

Decide which secondary features, integrations, and platform support can wait. Your version does not need to reproduce everything in the original.

Check the hard parts

Validate external services, specialist technology, data access, and ongoing costs for your chosen scope.

BUILD KIT DIFFICULTY

Not assessed in a Build Kit yet.

A reliable timeline needs an agreed scope and a technical check. Ask your agent to estimate the phases in BUILD_PLAN.md after that review.
