Illustrative example: an invoice app for independent contractors. Your kit is tailored to the app you choose; this is not its generated content.

Feature spec

Goal: Send a clear invoice after finishing a job.

  • Add a client, line items, a due date, and payment instructions.
  • Preview the total before exporting a PDF.
  • Keep an editable draft if export fails.

Screen plan

Invoice editor: Client at the top, editable line items in the middle, total and preview action at the bottom.

States: Empty draft, validation errors beside each field, exporting, and a retry action that preserves the draft.

Differentiate and validate

Hypothesis: Contractors need faster repeat invoices more than more templates.

First experiment: Test duplicating a previous job with five contractors. Watch where they hesitate before expanding the feature set.

The full kit adds a phased build plan, evidence notes, tool prompts, and implementation guidance. It is a plan for your coding agent, not a finished app.

Usage: Mechanics are fair game; never reuse the original name, branding, assets, or verbatim copy.

App Store description

Read any raw aviation weather report in plain English, in about five seconds. Paste a METAR or a TAF, or pull the current report for any airport, and every single group is written out in words: the wind, the visibility, the runway visual range, every cloud layer, the weather codes, the temperature and dew point, the altimeter setting, and the remarks section that most tools quietly skip. DECODES THE REMARKS, NOT JUST THE BODY The RMK section is where the useful detail hides, and it is the part almost every decoder leaves alone. This one reads it: sea level pressure, precise temperature and dew point to a tenth of a degree, peak wind, wind shift and frontal passage, lightning type and distance, hourly and six hour precipitation, snow depth, ice accretion, variable ceilings, tower visibility, pressure tendency, the synoptic cloud group, the Canadian layer codes, and the sensor status flags that tell you a reading is missing rather than clear. ASK THE FORECAST A QUESTION A TAF is a timeline, not a sentence. Scrub to any hour inside the validity period and see what is actually forecast at that moment, with FM, BECMG, TEMPO, INTER and PROB groups resolved in order. Elements that a BECMG group does not restate are carried forward correctly, which is exactly where reading a TAF by eye goes wrong. Temporary and probability conditions are shown as overlays on top of the base forecast, so you can see both the expected weather and the worst case. IT SHOWS ITS WORK Every flight category names the element that decided it and the rule behind it. Ceiling three thousand six hundred feet, from the lowest broken layer, and a scattered layer at two thousand six hundred does not count. You can check the app instead of trusting it, which is what makes it a study tool as well as a briefing tool. TAP ANY GROUP The raw report stays on screen and every group in it is tappable. Tap it and read what it means. A permanent glossary covers every weather code, every remark form and every abbreviation. WORKS WITHOUT A SIGNAL The decoder runs entirely on your device. Pasted reports decode with no connection at all, and the airport database, elevations, time zones and runway alignments are built into the app. Reports you have already fetched are cached and always labeled with their age, and cached data is never presented as if it were live. MORE OF WHAT PILOTS ASK FOR • Flight category at a glance, in the standard colors, with your own personal minimums alongside • US categories or ICAO VMC and IMC, your choice • Observation age in minutes, always visible, refreshed when you open the app • Favorite airports, reorderable, with a map of nearby reporting stations • Search by identifier, by name or by place • Head wind and cross wind for a runway, corrected for magnetic variation, with the gust case shown too • Density altitude, pressure altitude and relative humidity, suppressed rather than guessed when the underlying data is not trustworthy • Local field time and Zulu, side by side • A briefing log with a seven day streak • Full iPhone and iPad layouts ONE PURCHASE Buy it once. There is no subscription, no account, no sign in, no advertising and no analytics. Nothing is collected about you, and your location, if you ever choose to share it, is used on the device to sort nearby airports and never leaves it. Weather data comes from the NOAA National Weather Service Aviation Weather Center. Airport and runway data comes from OurAirports. This app is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by either. This app is a planning and training aid. It is not a substitute for an official preflight weather briefing and it is not approved for operational use. Always verify weather against official sources before flight.

These are generated suggestions, not verified review quotations. Check current App Store reviews and speak with users before treating a possible gap as a requirement.

Hypothesis 1

Add social sharing features for decoded reports.

Assumption to check: Limited user engagement due to lack of features

Validate with people who use this workflow before building.

Hypothesis 2

Implement real-time alerts for weather changes.

Assumption to check: No push notifications for severe weather

Validate with people who use this workflow before building.

Hypothesis 3

Add multi-language support for broader reach.

Assumption to check: Single-language support may limit audience

Validate with people who use this workflow before building.

Hypothesis 4

Offer a free trial or lite version to attract more users.

Assumption to check: High price point for a niche market

Validate with people who use this workflow before building.

Build scope

Plan a focused first version with your coding agent. These are planning assumptions, not a delivery guarantee.

Define the first version

Choose one audience and one core workflow. Use the kit to agree on its screens, data, and acceptance criteria before building.

Set boundaries

Decide which secondary features, integrations, and platform support can wait. Your version does not need to reproduce everything in the original.

Check the hard parts

Validate external services, specialist technology, data access, and ongoing costs for your chosen scope.
