DATA SOURCES Forecast and alert information is provided by the National Weather Service. Tide, water-level, current, wind, and water-temperature products are provided by NOAA Tides & Currents. Buoy observations are provided by the NOAA National Data Buoy Center. Values may be converted to the units selected in WaveBrief and rounded for display. Data availability varies by location, station, and source. WaveBrief is independently developed and is not affiliated with or endorsed by NOAA, the National Weather Service, the National Data Buoy Center, or the United States Government. INFORMATIONAL USE Marine forecasts and observations may be delayed, incomplete, estimated, or unavailable. Conditions can change rapidly. When you select a marine point or use your current location, the selected coordinates are securely transmitted only to retrieve forecasts, tides, alerts, and buoy observations. No cloud sync is used.
