Watcho is a community safety awareness app that displays reported incidents as color-coded pins on a full-screen map of Los Angeles County. No account required. No sign-up. Just open the app and see what's happening near you. Three incident categories Pins are color-coded by type: - Red: Reported Kidnapping — confirmed enforcement or detention - Orange: Suspicious Sighting — vehicles or activity - Green: Happening Now — active, real-time incidents or news Recent pins pulse on the map so you can spot new activity at a glance. SEARCH ANY NEIGHBORHOOD OR ADDRESS Type any neighborhood, street, or address to instantly see all incidents in that area. Results are sorted by proximity, incidents within your area appear first, followed by nearby reports. If nothing is found, the app shows "Relatively safe" for that location. FILTER BY INCIDENT TYPE Use the legend to filter the map to show only kidnappings, sightings, or live incidents. Tap again to clear the filter and see everything. TAP ANY PIN FOR FULL DETAILS Tap a pin to open the incident detail sheet. You'll see the date, time, neighborhood, full description, original source link, and contact information when available. Swipe down to dismiss. BILINGUAL: ENGLISH OR SPANISH Switch the entire app interface between English and Spanish with one tap. All labels, incident tabs, and UI text are fully translated. LIVE UPDATES, NO REFRESH NEEDED New incidents appear on the map in real time as they are reported. No need to reload or pull to refresh. CURATED BY THE WATCHO TEAM Every pin on Watcho is reviewed and posted by the Watcho editorial team. There is no user-generated content. No anonymous tips. No unverified reports. What you see on the map has been vetted before it goes live. OPTIONAL SAFTEY ALERTS Allow notifications and Watcho will send you a brief daily summary when new reports are added in LA County. You can deny notifications and the app works fully without them.
