LIVE COMPASS Open any ghost town and tap the compass card to get a full-screen live compass. The rose rotates as you turn your device — point the dot to the top arrow and you're facing the ghost town. Near Me mode shows your 3 closest towns simultaneously, each in a distinct color. NEAR ME Find ghost towns within 25, 50, 100, or 200 miles (or km) of your current location, sorted closest first. Tap the compass button on the map to see bearing directions to your nearest towns in real time. TOWN DETAIL Every town has a detail page with historical photos, description,founding and abandoned years, peak population, county, coordinates (tap to copy), satellite view, nearby towns with compass bearings,and direct navigation to Apple Maps. ROAD TRIP PLANNER Build a road trip by adding towns with the car button. The app optimises the route automatically using a nearest-neighbour algorithm, shows a dashed route preview on the map, and sends the full multi-stop driving route to Apple Maps in optimised order. SAVED, VISITED & FIELD NOTES Heart any town to save it. Mark towns visited and give them a 1–3 star rating. Write field notes on each town — access conditions, what you found, travel tips — all saved privately on your device. Sort your favorites and visited lists by name, state, type, distance, or rating. Export any list as a CSV file. STATS & ACHIEVEMENTS Track your exploration with a stats screen, milestone progress bar, and 16 achievements across four categories: discovery milestones, content, geography, and town type (Miner, Rail Rider, Lumberjack, Oil Baron, and more).
