YesChef is a recipe-keeping and cooking app built entirely on iCloud storage, sharing, and sync features. This means there is no private backend server and absolutely no user data collection of any kind. Your YesChef Recipes, Shopping lists, Meal plans, Cookbooks, Tags, and Household all live on your local device and in your iCloud storage. And they all belong wholly to you. When you purchase YesChef, you own it forever. We do not limit functionality or charge rolling subscription fees. YesChef runs in iOS26 and above on iPhone, iPad, or Mac. Your data syncs seamlessly across all of your devices where you are signed into iCloud. And any Recipes, Shopping Lists, Cookbooks, or Household you share with another user syncs seamlessly to all of their devices wherever they are signed into iCloud. Here's a list of key features in YesChef: RECIPE EXTRACTION - Extract recipes from the internet browser, Instagram, or TikTok using the built-in YesChef Share extension. Hit the Share button and find the YesChef app icon in the app you wish to extract recipes from. *Note that Instagram and TikTok extraction work best when the creator posts the recipe to the recipe video caption. In the cases where caption recipe extraction fails, take a screen recording of the video. YesChef supports recipe extraction from speech in video (note this works best on devices where Apple Intelligence is enabled). ICLOUD SYNC - Your recipes, shopping lists, meal plans, cookbooks, tags, and Household data (as well as all data shared to you) sync seamlessly across all of your devices where you are signed into iCloud. Collaborate on any shared recipes, shopping lists, meal plans, and cookbooks in real time. Restore all of your iCloud-backed data automatically if your device is lost or YesChef is deleted. APPLE INTELLIGENCE - On devices where Apple Intelligence is enabled, YesChef runs private on-device AI to greatly enhance recipe extraction and shopping list ingredient consolidation. Recipe extraction from printed cookbooks or handwritten recipe images especially shines on Apple Intelligence-enabled devices. HOUSEHOLDS - Optionally create a Household to unify Recipe and Shopping List sharing for Household members which you invite. Collaborate with Household members on a shared weekly Household Meal Plan. RECIPES - Create recipes from scratch in the YesChef format. Add main images, serving and prep time data, descriptions, ingredients, tags and instructions (with optional per-step images). Extract recipes from the internet browser, Instagram, or TikTok using the YesChef Share extension. Pull recipes from cookbooks or hand-written recipes by taking a picture of them. Organize your Recipes in the main Recipes view. Search your Recipes or filter them by your Tags. SHOPPING LISTS - Create shopping lists and share them with other users to collaborate in real time. Add ingredients to a shopping list from any Recipe using the Add to Shopping List button in the Recipe view. Add ingredients from a week-long meal plan by using the Create Shopping List for the Week or Add to Existing Shopping List buttons in the ellipsis options menu in the Meal Plan view. MEAL PLANS - Create weekly Meal Plans composed of your personal or shared recipes, or add text notes to indicate plans other than cooking for a given meal slot. Save Meal Plans as week-long presets to easily reuse in the future. Collaborate on a shared Household Meal Plan by creating or joining a Household. Send Meal Plan recipe ingredients to a shopping list with the Create Shopping List for the Week or Add to Existing Shopping List buttons in the Meal Plan view options. COLLECTIONS - Organize your recipes into Cookbooks and Tag groups. Share Cookbooks to other users to allow them to add their own Recipes to your shared Cookbook and collaborate on the Recipes within it. MULTILINGUAL SUPPORT - YesChef now supports Spanish, French, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Hindi, Tamil, Bengali, and Telugu.
