Protego for Reddit

Add a keyword, a community, a user, or a domain, and matching posts quietly disappear from your feed. Protego is a Safari extension with a companion app, on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Vision Pro. WHY THE BROWSER: Reddit belongs in your browser. The official app is built to keep you scrolling; in Safari, you decide what Reddit shows you, and Protego does the filtering. No notifications pulling you back, no "get the app" walls, and no Reddit app on your phone collecting in the background. FILTER WHAT YOU CHOOSE: - Keywords - Hide posts whose title, body, or community name matches a word or phrase - Communities - Hide everything from a community, or block its page entirely - Users - Hide one person's posts and comments - Domains - Hide posts linking to a particular site - Social Media - Hide posts linking to X, Instagram, TikTok, and more Keywords go further: * matches a word and its variations, # matches any 1 to 3 digit number, and groups switch a whole set on or off at once. Any filter can be switched off without deleting it. SET UP IN ONE TAP: Pick a preset (Off, Minimal, Balanced, or Focused) and Protego applies a recommended set of options, stripping out distractions to bring new Reddit closer to the old one. Fine-tune anything afterward. CLEAR AWAY THE CLUTTER: - Hide thumbnails, avatars, flair, badges, vote controls, award and join buttons, and community banners - Hide recommendations, promoted posts, login and app nudges, and Reddit Answers - Collapse or hide comments carrying media, and the moderator comment pinned to the top of a thread - Color-code comment threads by reply depth, with four themes to pick from - Bring back who posted on the home, popular, and news feeds - Skip Reddit's For You home test and return to Following (experimental) - Land on old Reddit automatically, with an endless feed PUT REDDIT OUT OF REACH: Filtering hides what you do not want to see. Limits goes further and blocks Reddit itself, a step at a time: Home and Popular first, then all main feeds, then everything but direct links to posts, then all of Reddit. Pair a limit with a Focus like Sleep or Study and it turns itself on. PRIVACY: No account, no tracking, no browsing history collected. Your filter lists stay on your devices and in your own iCloud.
