This Know Your Brain Age™ test is powered by CNS Vital Signs. A world leader in both clinic and research based computerized neurocognitive testing. The cognitive tests in this app are utilized by thousands of healthcare professionals to evaluate and manage patients all over the world. If you download the Know Your Brain Age™ app and test yourself, remember you need to put forth your best effort. There is no additional cost to take the test again (and again) if you feel your score does not correctly reflect your brain age. A historical report of all your scores will be available on the app. Also note the youngest age we calculate is "Under 40". This does not mean if you are under 40 you should not take the test. To the contrary you should absolutely take the test to make sure you score "Under 40". This evaluation will take about 15 minutes and by analyzing your test results we can calculate a Know Your Brain Age™ test score in a single Brain Age number. Plan taking the test on your device in a quiet place with no interruptions for at least 20 minutes. Put forth your best effort. Generally speaking, if your brain age is greater than your actual age, you may want to see your healthcare provider and tell them that you have scored poorly on a cognitive test for someone of your age. If your test score is your age or younger, you are within the age appropriate normal range or perhaps better. However, even if you scored well, should you feel you are experiencing poor memory or other neurological issues, you should consider seeing your healthcare provider to discuss. Your provider can download a comprehensive clinical version of this application and retest you if your provider feels your score reflects the need for more thorough testing. For example, if you are 25 years old and score a Brain Age of 70, that score is above your chronological age and thus is potentially an abnormally poor score for someone 25 years old. Alternatively, if you are 70 years old and score a Brain Age of 40, that score is less than your chronological age and an excellent score for someone 70 years old. With such a brief set of tests, the app can calculate brain ages as low as under 40 years old and as high as 90. So the score as viewed on your report will fall somewhere between 40 and 90 years of age. To get a more precise score of your Brain Age requires much more comprehensive testing than what is practical here.
