Generating… usually about a minute.
What should your app do differently? Your note travels with the kit so your coding agent builds around your idea.
A product spec, phased build plan, differentiation notes, and screen references.
Illustrative example: an invoice app for independent contractors. Your kit is tailored to the app you choose; this is not its generated content.
Goal: Send a clear invoice after finishing a job.
Invoice editor: Client at the top, editable line items in the middle, total and preview action at the bottom.
States: Empty draft, validation errors beside each field, exporting, and a retry action that preserves the draft.
Hypothesis: Contractors need faster repeat invoices more than more templates.
First experiment: Test duplicating a previous job with five contractors. Watch where they hesitate before expanding the feature set.
The full kit adds a phased build plan, evidence notes, tool prompts, and implementation guidance. It is a plan for your coding agent, not a finished app.
Usage: Mechanics are fair game; never reuse the original name, branding, assets, or verbatim copy.

Kase exists because it should. There should be a database app that can go anywhere with you. It should be: • Simple — Using it should be easy and intuitive, • Flexible — Once familiar with the basics, you can design any database to track anything important to you, and • Relational — Inter-linked data is an order of magnitude more useful. Plus, you don't want to repeat yourself. Additionally, it should be: • Personal — You should not need to worry about who can peek into your data, and • Always Available — High-speed wireless network should *not* be a prerequisite for accessing your own data. Structured data at your fingertips. Something like that didn't exist, so I started creating Kase in 2014. Basic Concepts: • Your Kase contains Boxes. • Each Box stores Decks that can relate to each other. • A Deck collects similarly structured Cards. • And a Card is where you put data Entries. Features: • Pick, assign, and organize with Categories, Tags, and Marks. • Search by name, notes, full text, or keywords: Full-text indexing with Natural Language Processing. • Highlight any Box, Deck, Card, Entry, or Keyword. • Deck definitions support inheritance! • Field types include Text, Number (with Unit), Money (with Currency), Date/Time (with Time Zone), Choice, Boolean, Link, Picture, and Document. - complete with multi-level auto-conversion • Write in Markdown and see rich formatted text. • Box can be locked with a passcode, and unlocked with Face ID or Touch ID. • Formatters (Fx) to visualize data in different ways without altering the data one bit. e.g. Unit Converter, NameMapper, WordScrambler, ICU Transformers... • Side-by-Side: Compare Cards easily by displaying in columns. • On-device Text Recognitions (OCR) for multiple languages. • Import/Export in CSV, JSON, or KASE. • Complete Backup & Restore. • iPad Multitasking support: Split View, Slide Over, etc. • Very customizable UI with custom locales What Kase Can't Do: - Cloud sync is not done yet (stay tuned...) What Kase Can Do: > From Data to Wisdom > Data ▹ Information ▹ Knowledge ▹ Wisdom 1. Store Data — the objective truths. 2. Organize Information — to reflect circumstances and current condition. 3. Systematically retrieve Knowledge — utilized for decision-making. 4. And that hopefully enables you to grasp Wisdom, comprehend insights, and ultimately create value. There are databases that belong to the Big Guys. The rest of them should stay personal. By now, you should realize how valuable your data is. So why give it away? Kase keeps your data yours. Plan a focused first version with your coding agent. These are planning assumptions, not a delivery guarantee.
Choose one audience and one core workflow. Use the kit to agree on its screens, data, and acceptance criteria before building.
Decide which secondary features, integrations, and platform support can wait. Your version does not need to reproduce everything in the original.
Validate external services, specialist technology, data access, and ongoing costs for your chosen scope.
From the Build Kit assessment.
A reliable timeline needs an agreed scope and a technical check. Ask your agent to estimate the phases in BUILD_PLAN.md after that review.
