A NOTE ON GLUTEN Gluten comes from wheat, barley, rye, spelt, and triticale. On a label it hides behind names like barley malt, malt extract, wheat starch, and hydrolysed wheat protein, and it turns up where you least expect it: soy sauce, stock cubes, soups, sweets, and beer. The app reads the ingredients recorded for a product and flags the ones that mean gluten, so you're not decoding every label on your own. It can't detect cross-contamination or "may contain" traces, so always check the packaging, and talk to your doctor about managing coeliac disease.
