Why is Tyde the best tide prediction software? Internal tide prediction engine. No internet connection required except when selecting the location for tide prediction. Infinitely scrolling tidal wave. The tide is displayed as an infinite wave that can be zoomed in or out, and panned forwards or backwards in time. Other tide apps simply download and display a static 24 hour graph. User adjustable height marker. You choose the threshold height for your favorite activity - kayaking, clam digging, etc., and Tyde will display the times when the tide will cross that threshold, so you know when it is best to begin or end the activity. Better display aesthetics. Tyde uses the entire screen to display the tidal waveform, and puts the numbers you want to see directly on the tidal waveform. Real time tracking. If Tyde is in real time mode, it will continuously update and show you the current tide. We put Tyde on a venerable first edition iPad and use it as a tidal wall clock.
