iWindRose²

iWindRose² is a one-of-a-kind app, optimized for iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch and Apple Watch, which allows you to know all the main winds, their history and forecasts. Use this application to learn about the history, direction and forecast of the winds, especially present in maritime areas. It will be especially useful to all those who practice water sports such as surfing, kitesurfing, diving, etc. Consult the forecasts provided by the application before deciding to venture out to sea by boat. The most important features of iWindRose² are: • information about your geographic location; • real-time weather in your location (requires an internet connection); • set of information regarding the Sun and Moon (also available offline); • dynamic and adjustable compass rose; • description and history of the main winds; • wind and sea force scales; • winds and force scales searchable directly from Spotlight; • weather forecasts from multiple providers; • notification for each Meteomar forecast update; • notification center and home screen widgets (iOS 15 or higher required) for all forecasts; • 3D Touch shortcuts; • Siri Shortcuts for all predictions; • stickers for iMessage Available weather service providers: • MeteoAM; • LaMMA; • OpenWeatherMap; • VentuSky. Furthermore, thanks to compatibility with Apple Watch it is possible to have real-time weather forecasts always on your wrist (requires a connection with iPhone)! ================================= NOTE ================================= • DEGREES -1: the display of this writing (at the top right of the compass rose) means that the application is not able to correctly determine the rotation of the device. This may be due to incorrect functioning of the geolocation device (try closing and reopening the app) or to incorrect configuration of the location services within the "Settings" app of the device (in this case, check have enabled the "Compass calibration" option in Settings -> Privacy -> Location -> System Services). ATTENTION: all information on weather forecasts provided by iWindRose² is found through links to the respective official websites. Any deficiencies, inaccuracies or technical problems are to be attributed to the websites and not to the application. Any structural changes to the official sites could cause the application to function incorrectly, which will be resolved with a future update as soon as possible.
